In that time we’ve seen technology develop at an exponential rate, offering new and exciting ways of incorporating smart elements into today’s households. We want to share that knowledge with you. Here’s what we’ve picked up along the way:

A Brief History

Home automation has been repackaged, and branded differently, to fit the associated purveyors needs for over two decades now. When referring to “smart homes”, or “domotics”, you’re essentially speaking to the incorporation of technology into a domicile for the purpose of alleviating repetitive input and, by proxy, making home life easier/more enjoyable. That’s where we come in.

Depending on how you define “technology”, the appliance revolution of the early twentieth century is considered by some to be the birth of home automation. Since then we’ve seen this sect evolve from toasters, to the ill-fated Honeywell 316 Kitchen Computer, to Gerontechnology, to what we have today. Smart homes, at present, offer a new level of connectivity and efficiency to those at home, and away.
